If you find yourself around Anogeia after the end of May, you can enjoy a collective traditional activity that turns into a real feast! It is sheep shearing season celebrated at all family mitata. Koures (sheep shearing) is an ancient ritual during which the host and the rich hospitality he offers his guests play a central role. While sheep are being sheared, the “Ofto” meat, is slowly roasted on spits set up in a circle around the fire, while raki and wine flow freely and the feast begins!
