Yakinthia festival is an annual two or three-day event that takes place in Anogeia at the end of July at a dedicated area around the chapel of St. Yakinthos. It is an important institution for the cultural events of Anogeia and Crete. The stone theatre hosts speeches, concerts, music and dance performances by artists and scholars from Crete, Greece, and the rest of the world.
